I worked for US Dept. of Agriculture as a methods development chemist which required a knowledge of chemistry, physics, math and statistics as well as high level computer skills. I have taught classes for over 15 years at Athens Area Technical College, University of Georgia Continuint Education Program and as owner and lead trainer for Athens Computer Training, Inc.
I have taught classes for students ranging from high school to adult with course material from the very basic to highly advnced concepts. I feel that teaching will not only inform young minds to think differently or make them more motivated to learn. But to allow one to master his or her knowledge in general, teaching allows oneself to fully understand the subject in their own minds. I get to know the children first then get them involved in the assingment with eagerness and excitement. Then the children are to go and show off their knowledge. That way they will know it much better than before. The knowlege is input into the student's brain, and then I have them output the knowledge; therefore it is being repeated, and instilled more and more into their brain everytime. I love to see children eager to learn, and even better try. I push the students who are struggling so that they will not get stepped on. I motivate them, and have them motivate theirselves and others around them. I give the students materials that they already know, and then start building from there.
