Having spent 20 years in the Information Technology field, I recently made the decision to change careers to pursue a life-long dream of teaching. I began college as an education major, but due to life circumstances, changed direction and entered the IT field. As programming is math and logic oriented, teaching math is a natural extension of my skills and experience. I am currently working towards gaining licensure as a middle school math teacher. Besides my formal education, I have helped many people while working for Disabled Student Services at Florida Community College at Jacksonville. I helped my blind boss understand the needs of her deaf students. I helped a disabled boy with Algebra and I helped my mom with her math when she went back to college.
