Ryan Chesser loves music. But it wasn’t always that way. He started piano lessons in 5th grade, but didn’t fall in love with music until young adulthood. Ryan went on to further his musical education and graduated from Southeastern University with a Bachelors Degree in Church Music in 2007. He served as the music minister of New Beginning Baptist Church from 2008 – 2010and went on to serve as the primary keyboardist at Victory Church, where he iscurrently the primary keyboardist for the worship team and the pianist for the orchestra. I believe that too many students find math challenging because of the way they are taught. Too many teachers have made it not fun and frustrating and are unwilling to explain the "whys", which can make a big difference to a child. This may be due to lack of understanding on the teacher's part, but I believe strongly that a solid education, especially in all areas of math, will help with problem solving and many other "real life" situations that can arise. Because many students learn visually, I've always tried to incorporate varying levels of geometry in my lessons. It is also helpful to provide examples to many students, so that is always a goal of mine. This requires not only instruction, but First Aid and CPR certifications and safety procedures.
