Over 30 years of experience as a pianist, accompanist/concertmaster, piano teacher I find great pleasure in teaching because it is what I simply love to do. I learn as much from my students as they do from me because each and every one of them is a unique individual and I have to find just the right approach to helping them learn and discover new things. The key to teaching something wonderful while having fun at the same time is becoming your student's friend no matter what age they are. Music is not a profession for me – it's a calling that defined my life. I've been a music teacher, performer and composer for over 30 years. I didn't always know I wanted to be a musician, but it was my first music teacher who helped me to open up and see my talent. Ryan Chesser loves music. But it wasn’t always that way. He started piano lessons in 5th grade, but didn’t fall in love with music until young adulthood. Ryan went on to further his musical education and graduated from Southeastern University with a Bachelors Degree in Church Music in 2007. He served as the music minister of New Beginning Baptist Church from 2008 – 2010and went on to serve as the primary keyboardist at Victory Church, where he iscurrently the primary keyboardist for the worship team and the pianist for the orchestra. I have taught children how to sail for about 10 years now. These children range in groups of 5-15 and ages 5 to adult. This requires not only instruction, but First Aid and CPR certifications and safety procedures. I also am now a Spanish professor at a local community college, teaching a Medical Spanish class to nursing students. I love teaching and working with children.
