I graduated from high school with Honors in May of 2014. I am now a Freshman at Northern Arizona University, pursuing a double major in Spanish Secondary Education and Theatre Studies. I took two years of Spanish in high school; I started with Spanish 1 my Junior year and was so proficient that I skipped to Spanish 3 my Senior year and earned my First Year Spanish college credits. Now, at NAU, I am completing my Second Year Spanish credits. I have no formal Spanish tutoring experience, but I have experience with helping friends and peers with beginning-level Spanish. I expected to graduate in December 2017 with a bachelor and master in Computer Science that is an integral program in NAU. My current GPA is 3.60.My real strength is my attention to detail. I pride myself on my reputation for following through and meeting deadlines. When I commit to doing something, I make sure it gets done, and on time. I like using many different ways to learn. We are all different in how we learn and taking different approaches helps to take that into account. I like learning to be fun as you learn more when you are having fun. I started piano as a young child for over ten years. I perfomed in several piano Guild judgings and came out well each time. I also taught piano for several years and put together many piano recitals for my students. I love playing all kinds of music. Jazz and blues are one of my favorites, but I love classical. The biggest thing for me when teaching younger kids is patience. I never expect them to know something just because I do; they pick up on frustration which only makes them frustrated themselves. I believe that kids have the capacity to learn anything they please, and I do my best to transfer this belief to them. I never place myself on a pedestal with them, rather I make an effort to ensure that we see eye to eye. I respect them, and they offer me the same in return.
