Experience Summary
As a graduate with a B.S. in physics and a B.S. in Chemistry, earning a 3.98 GPA and Summa Cum-Laude recognition while completing the Honors Liberal Studies program in obtaining both degrees at Northern Arizona University, I believe I have thoroughly learned the subjects of physics and chemistry, as well as math (as higher level math is required for physics). In addition to my education, I have tutored for one and a half years at the Learning Assistance Center at Northern Arizona University. At the Learning Assistance Center I also earned Level II certification through extensive training and experience. I have also scored a 31 on the MCAT, and have been accepted to University of New Mexico's School of Medicine.
Teaching Style
The most common approach I take to tutoring a student is to first find out the student's learning style (be it visual, auditory, kinesthetic, or a combination), and then work with the student using this learning style. I also like to format the exercises in accordance with the test or quizzes the student is preparing for. I am a very easy going and patient tutor, but I will challenge my students to do their best. I thoroughly enjoy making a difference in the lives of the students I tutor by advancing their education. In addition to school subjects, I have been accepted to medical school, was the vice president of my university's premedical club, and would be more than willing to help students prepare for MCAT.
