My comments on tutoring Economics : The course that I currently teach includes portions which rely upon economics and the application of economics.

A combination of lecture and one on one with the student.
I practiced law for over 25 years and since 2010 have taught at Pima Community College. In teaching, I utilize a combination of law, accounting and economics to teach the courses and make the concepts taught come alive by offering real world examples of the application of each of these subjects. I often have classes in which there is a split of some people who are much more advanced than others so I have learned how to reach the struggling student without impeding the progress of the faster student. I have really enjoyed teaching and preparing students to make their way in the world.

I attended college at three different schools, on athletic scholarship in two of them. I earned two bachelor degrees, BA in Philosophy and BA in Political Science. After graduating I spent one semester teaching sciences at an outdoor based alternative middle and elementary school just outside of Austin, TX. In college and afterwards I have continued to be involved in issues regarding immigration and minorities. I spent one year living and working in the Central Andes in Peru. I worked as an assistant preschool teacher for a little over 2 years.I worked with two year olds mostly, but the children ranged from infants to K level. I was responsible for supervising and assisting in teaching a classroom of 20 two year olds.
I am very patient and detailed teacher. I go step by step when trying to teach a child how to do something. I don't skip steps. If they still don't understand, I don't go on to the next part of the lesson. I make sure they know and understand how to do the first part before I go onto the second part. Also I make things as simple as possible, complexing a subject doesn't do any good when it comes to teaching.
