My comments on tutoring Economics : The course that I currently teach includes portions which rely upon economics and the application of economics.

I practiced law for over 25 years and since 2010 have taught at Pima Community College. In teaching, I utilize a combination of law, accounting and economics to teach the courses and make the concepts taught come alive by offering real world examples of the application of each of these subjects. I often have classes in which there is a split of some people who are much more advanced than others so I have learned how to reach the struggling student without impeding the progress of the faster student. I have really enjoyed teaching and preparing students to make their way in the world.

My style is liberal , with tutory in one to one, my experience in retail stores make my style in a easy going. I born to be a teacher, my Mother was a teacher in elementary level. At soon I grow and have my basic skill, I start to teaching in diferents level in Mexico, I participe in a program to help the adults to finish high scool, and start to be prepaired for the college, when I start the University, I help a lot of under graduated high school students to be prepaid for the College
I worked for a college level school in Mexico(Conalep)for 5 years,use to teach Math,Biology, Pnewmatic, Hydraulic, and in the past years I work in diferent levels of comunity teaching conferences for my hispanic neighbords. Each individual is different. Therefore, you have to know the person first in order to apply a teaching style. Age, gender, and subject matter are some elements that influence how a person learns. Some people learn visually, some people learn by practicing, some people don't want to learn. My style varies according to the individual and what he or she likes or dislikes. As a tutor my role can be from formal authority, demonstrator, facilitator and delegator. Key elements in the classroom: 1) facilitate interaction and 2) delivery of the content to student. A Little Bit About Me...

My tutoring began in when I was employed with Nazareth Colleges' Partners for Learning program. This program worked with several schools in the Rochester, NY area to provide in school and after school tutoring and teaching assistance to children grades 6-12. I specialized at one school, Hope Hall in Gates, NY, where I worked with students who had a variety of learning challenges. I assisted students with subjects such as: English, Spanish, French, math, language arts, science and social studies. I worked with Partners for Learning for two years from 2005-2006 while I was finishing my undergraduate degree. I have also been employed as a substitute teacher in my hometown of Rochester, NY.
