I was hired by the Lutheran Church to write devotional materials..I had to take certain Bible passages & develop meditations of less than 100 words for a 2 week period. I taught for 9 yrs at the 1159 US Army Reserve Forces School. I helped soldiers get promoted to SSG, SFC, & MSG by providing them with skills in writing correspondence, public speaking, lesson planning & class preparation for delivery in both a classroom & tactical (field) environment. I also provided remedial training for soldiers needing additional work in writing,lesson planning & class presentation. I told my students there was no "wrong" way to present class material. They were told they would be videotaped & critiqued by their class members..BUT their presentation would be on their military specialty (eg. a Motor Pool SGT would do a class on vehicle maintenance)..thereby increasing the "comfort level" of the present
