Experience Summary
Tutor for three school districts and substitute teacher. Taught English as a Second Language at the community college level. Mentored International students. Set up programs for students at risk of not graduating. My strength is to identify your strengths and weaknesses, so an individual learning plan based on your learning style can be made. Clear instructions and notes, as well as assignments written in full detail. Accustomed to emailing teachers and parents to stay on track and meet mutually agreed upon goals.
Teaching Style
Accustomed to making lessons highly digestible for those who do not have a good initial understanding. Love teaching math and sciences as well. Speak French and can help with all languages. I have helped many develop a love of learning by using hands on materials. My philosophy is that we can all learn something from anything we do. Self-knowledge in how we learn best is critical throughout our lives.
My Hobbies
Manage my own horse farm and teach or coach many sports, including: riding, tennis, skiing, kayaking, soccer, basketball, etc.
