Experience Summary
As a private school and state school graduate,I recieved a broad and varied background in higher education.I taught at two Catholic Schools. I have performed also as a substitute teacher with the experience of teaching at most grade levels and subjects. I have also performed Homebound Teaching for regular and Special Education Students-my jobs would range from: short term 2-10 days long term 3 weeks to 1 full year, at their home,the school,or library.The jobs would involve academic problems,behavior issues,medical absence at home,or the hospital. I have also completed private tutoring as well. I have been a Teachers assistant at S.U.N.Y.Binghamton working with autistic students .
Teaching Style
I have a holistic, eclectic style of Teaching. When I work with any student,or students, I always determine what proficient level they are at.If they are having any problems grasping the subject, I must do diagnostic testing to remediate at progress from that point forward. When the student has reached a level of proficiency,he or she may move on to whatever subect,or level that pertains to. Yes, each student is unique and can reach their full potential under the right guidance encouragement,and support. Yet, I firmly believe that all students must master the fundamentals, no matter what subject.
