I am employed as a Math Tutor at a company in Asheville. Before this, I lived in Raleigh where I worked for several distinguished companies as a Math Tutor. I have taught SAT Math prep at Cary Academy during the last two summers and at Roxboro Community School where I worked primarily as a Spanish Teacher. I like to use examples and cater my lessons to what the student needs to work on (i.e. homework, test-prep). I also differentiate my style based on whether the student learns best through audio, visual, or kinesthetic means. My background includes 30 years as an engineer and engineering manager, as well as teaching math at the community college level and volunteering as an adult literacy tutor.
