I am employed as a Math Tutor at a company in Asheville. Before this, I lived in Raleigh where I worked for several distinguished companies as a Math Tutor. I have taught SAT Math prep at Cary Academy during the last two summers and at Roxboro Community School where I worked primarily as a Spanish Teacher.
I like to use examples and cater my lessons to what the student needs to work on (i.e. homework, test-prep). I also differentiate my style based on whether the student learns best through audio, visual, or kinesthetic means. I have completed courses in algebra, calculus, statistics, physics, chemistry, organic chemistry, cell biology, ecology, and other biology related courses all of which require a high math and science competency. I have also performed extensive research at UNCC and graduated with a 3.1. I have also tutored college students in chemistry and algebra on the side.

As the son of two life-long public educators, the importance of a quality education has always a major theme in my life. Upon entering college I choose mathematics as a major due to the proficiency I have always had in the subject. During my studies I realized that I had an innate ability to not only grasp and understand difficult mathematical concepts, but also to explain them to others. I studied Biology at Warren Wilson College in hopes of becoming a high school biology teacher.
