I love using manipulatives with all subjects. It makes learning fun even for those that are frustrated with the subject. Since everyone learns in a different way I need to teach the material in different ways to find out which way is best for that student. By using manipulatives with verbal directions and giving examples for them to see covers the bases of physical, visual, and aural learning students. I enjoy working with students on a one-to-one or small group basis. This is currently how I teach in the classroom. I have approximately 4-5 students in a harp class and privately I teach one-to-one.
