Experience Summary
I have 15 years experience as a private music teacher. I have taught flute, harp and piano to students from age 5 to adult. I have been a classroom teacher for 5 years. I recently finished the requirements to receive my teaching certification but have not filled for it yet (I plan to have it by the fall). I have also worked for CAHSEE (California High School Exit Exam) as a teacher who grades exit essay exams for high school students.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with students on a one-to-one or small group basis. This is currently how I teach in the classroom. I have approximately 4-5 students in a harp class and privately I teach one-to-one. I enjoy getting to know students and find out what makes them tick. I especially enjoying working with elementary and middle school students.
