As an artist, I am able to work with students on the technical skills and methods of drawing or their overall approach. I have taken many drawing classes and would be delighted to share what I have learned with others! I have tutored a wide variety students on many subjects. I am most experienced tutoring high school students for the SAT. I worked with Let's Get Ready, a non-profit organization dedicated to preparing high school students for the SAT and their college search process. I typically tutored students for the Math section, but I am capable of tutoring for the Critical Reading and Writing sections as well. Some of my other tutoring experiences have been with middle and high school students. I have tutored several students in math, from middle school level general math to high school Calculus I. I have worked with younger students to improve their grammar and writing abilities.

My lessons can range from private lessons to group lessons of no more than five at one time. I prefer to be very involved in my students' progress, and will readily explain any questions that they do not understand. My main strategy is basically to lay out the concepts that will be covered that day, go over several practice problems, and give three or four practice problems for the students to work on independently. For art students, I will demonstrate with explanation the concept that we will be covering in that lesson (be it portraiture basics or still life basics), draw diagrams with the steps clearly labeled, and have the student independently work on a similar piece which applies the same concepts. I will supervise the student's progress and correct any lasting errors, but I prefer to have the students produce an almost entirely independently produced piece each session. I have work
