Experience Summary
As a recent combined degree student from the University of Florida I have simultaneously pursued both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Health Education at the University of Florida. I am also a recipient of the President's Award as a result of obtaining a 4.0 semester grade point average during my last semester. I have conducted obesity research for the College of Health and Human Performance under the direction of Dr. Delores James during my time spent at the University of Florida. Since 2007 I have acted as a tutor for an assortment of students (including those with severe learning and behavioral disabilities).
Teaching Style
My teaching style is very hands on. I believe that children learn best when they are afforded the opportunity to learn through a tangible means. I enjoy learning, and therefore try to instill that same appreciation for learning in those in which I have had the opportunity to teach. The most important lesson that I teach any of my students is related to helping them discover the ways in which they learn best. Only then can the ongoing process of learning begin.
