My comments on tutoring Drawing : As an artist, I am able to work with students on the technical skills and methods of drawing or their overall approach. I have taken many drawing classes and would be delighted to share what I have learned with others!

I am a big proponent of the theory of multiple intelligences and believe that each student has certain styles of learning that work best for them. I aim to help students figure out how they learn best. Once they realize where their strengths are, they can incorporate the concept into all of their studies, not just the subject for which I happen to be tutoring them.
I have tutored a wide variety students on many subjects. I am most experienced tutoring high school students for the SAT. My teaching style is geared more towards each individual child. Some are auditory learners, some learn just by watching and still others require tactile stimulation in order to learn. I generally use a combination of all three focusing on the one that is strongest for each individual child. I believe with patience and understanding all children can and will learn. My teaching style is very specific to each student I tutor. I try to tailor my thoughts so that any student at any level in the subject can understand me. At the teaching center, the focus was to help guide the student to get the correct answer and not just give the answer. Sometimes the thinking process to achieving the correct answer is more important than the answer itself. I also try using diagrams and figures when they are called for to explain some of the topics. I frequently use positive reinforcement so the student feels even more encouraged to learn.
