I have experience tutoring students for the SAT, both individually and in small groups. I worked with the Let's Get Ready organization in Framingham, MA, which offers weekly SAT sessions for students in underprivileged neighborhoods. I am a big proponent of the theory of multiple intelligences and believe that each student has certain styles of learning that work best for them. I aim to help students figure out how they learn best. Once they realize where their strengths are, they can incorporate the concept into all of their studies, not just the subject for which I happen to be tutoring them. Having scored a 1370 on the SAT after three attempts, I can safely say that I wish I knew then what I know now about taking the SAT.
