Experience Summary
I have gained tutoring experience as a volunteer tutor at Bartow High School, treating Spanish, math, and the sciences. Additionally, while serving as a Troop Guide for Troop 500 of the Boy Scouts of America, I had the opportunity to teach younger peers an assortment of survival skills. I am currently a freshman engineering student at the University of Florida pursuing a BS in Chemical Engineering, and I am a graduate of Polk State College, having earned an AA with honors in History.
Teaching Style
I believe that the key to academic success lies in developing a personal passion for any given subject area; I live to share my passion for knowledge with others. I am authentic, intuitive, and calm. I feel that all persons can learn any subject provided sufficient internal motivation. As much as possible, knowledge should be discovered in a relevant manner so as to ensure a continued interest. Sometimes all a student needs is that little spark, and I aim to provide it.
