Experience Summary
I am a student at the University of Florida and am confident in my ability to provide an excellent education. I have some experience in tutoring children in reading and basic math, and have been a "Big Sister" type figure. I excel in writing, grammar, and the Spanish language, and have experience with Advanced Placement (AP) style essays, technical writing, philosophy papers, speeches, general essays, and essays in Spanish. I am efficient in basic algebra, geometry and science, and have studied AP Calculus and chemistry. I also studied piano for seven years, and am currently learning to play the guitar.
Teaching Style
I love helping and teaching children, and am eager for the opportunity to encourage learning. I am patient and sensitive, and understand that each student has a different approach to learning. I also understand that for many, learning can be frustrating and discouraging, but I am eager to show students that learning can be a positive experience. As a tutor, I will strive to discover my student's strengths and abilities, and help him or her apply those to achieve a solid education.
