A Little Bit About Me...

I taught Environmental Science to disadvantaged kids in McKenzie, TN while on summer break from college and then I taught young children about animals and their lifesytles at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I am currently working on a master's degree in secondary science. I suffered from a learning disability when I was a high school student, so I understanding students when they just aren't able to quite understand and know that it's okay to seek help.
I feel that each student has their own individual style of learning and I will take that into consideration when tutoring your son/daughter. I know that not everyone learns the same way and that there is not a concrete form of teaching and that to be able to reach an individual student, the teacher must accomodate their teaching style to reach the student.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently retired from the U.S. Army as a medic. During my service, I was frequently responsible for both formal and informal teaching and training. I learned to easily adapt to various learning styles, learning barriers, and researching subjects. While still in the service, I utilized my lunch breaks and evenings to further my education and emerged with my AA and completed Nurse Assistant training while still serving and my BS only one year later; two months after retiring. I believe that it is the teacher's job to discover the true learning style of their students and when we do it is like unlocking a treasure chest of gold, so to speak.
