I have tutored consistently for the last 3 years focusing on Genetics and Biology. I have organized classroom discussions and one on one study sessions for both subjects. I am also proficient general science classes such as chemistry, physics and cell biology. Genetics is one of my top subjects!

I believe the best way to learn is to ask questions. The best thought process begins with asking the right questions. As a student, I find that knowing the right question was often as important as right answer. Taking this lesson into teaching, I find that getting the student to ask the right question makes all the difference in their understanding. My perspective of teaching is to help the student to find and better understand their own question and which leads the correct answers.

Though being prepared is not a direct part of the tutor-student interaction, it is absolutely necessary for the tutor to be prepared far beyond the basic level. My teaching style tends to rely heavily on humor and I really try to build a relationship with students that is fun for both parties.
