My comments on tutoring Grammar : Students encounter incorrect grammar usage such as in referring to first, second, and third person, shifting a noun into a pronoun, and use of tenses (future, present, and past). Another mistake students demonstrate is usage of adverb of time, manner, and place. Use of conjunctions and interjections are difficult for some students.

I started teaching right after my college graduation from Philippine Normal University. I taught ESL (English as A Second Language in public schools from 1968 - 1985. Economics is second-nature to me. Economics puts calculus into real-world situations. For example, when a student normally presents a report to the class, that student reads from his notes. I had one student who was musically inclined and played her guitar to make her presentation. She used her musical skills quite effectively.
