My comments on tutoring Grammar : My two undergraduate majors were English and French. As a result, I am quite the grammarian.

I believe learning should always be engaging and meaningful. It is critical to address individual student learning modalities and needs so the student can experience great success. A Little Bit About Me...

I started teaching chemistry in 1964. During my child-raising years, I did a lot of substitute teaching in various subjects, and worked at part-time and temporary classroom teaching and tutoring. My longest position was at University of Massachusetts, Lowell campus, (1993 through 2004, before moving to Florida), teaching 3 different levels of Freshman Chemistry. I have tutored chemistry, math, and biology in Florida since 2007, as an employee of Advanced Learning Center, St. Petersburg, until 2011, and independently to the present time. A major portion has been at Shorecrest Prep, St Petersburg, 2007 to now. I have met students at school, home, libraries and other public places. Individualized learning/teaching for optimal comprehension

I started tutoring as a young adult helping young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders develop English and Math skills as well as speech therapy and public speaking. I tutored my fellow students while attending Carroll Community College in English 101 and 102 and Creative Writing. I have worked with every age group from 6 weeks to 21 years old as a teacher, a behavioral therapist, and a tutor.
