I do not have a certain style. My style conforms to the child's way of learning and I simply find a way to grow their interests.

Math is a tool for success, not to frighten people.

With the experiences of Sylvan, Mathnasium, and High School lessons under my belt, I have combined the best aspects that each has to offer. In accounting it is helpful to know the pieces before you get to the parts. An overview of where these ledgering numbers go can help students understand the why of ledgering. I first try to recognize where a student may have difficulty then work from there.

A Little Bit About Me...

I tutored elementary students while in high school. I am now an Education major at Midwestern State University and I will graduate in May of 2010. At my last job I helped tutor students and get them ready for test and quizzes etc. I enjoy working with kids I can't think of anything better to do with my time.
My teaching style involves getting to know the student as a person first and going from there. Learning how he/she learns something new and what he/she knows and doesn't know quite yet. Every child is different in the way that he/she learns and a person how to figure that out first for a child to be successful.
