Experience Summary
I have earned a bachelors degree in Fine Art with an emphasis in Oil Painting,which has enabled me to understand different levels of painting. I have also learned many drawing techniques from the advanced drawing classes I took as a undergraduate. As an artist I have gained experience in how to talk about my artwork due to the juried shows and galleries I have shown my work in. In the last two years I have taught elementary students basic drawing and painting skills, and art history.
Teaching Style
I really love teaching art to children. I think that everyone can learn to draw or paint and the best way to do that is to practice, practice, practice. I don't think there is a right way or wrong way to teach art. I am patient and understanding. My goal is to provide an environment where your child will find art fun and will feel confident in their abilities. I think that art is a good outlet for self expression and self discovery.
