My comments on tutoring Special Education : I am a special education teacher with 26 years of experience at every level from pre-K to high school. I have taught students with learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD,dyslexia, and severe and profound handicaps. I have a vast knowledge of approaches and techniques that work with special education students. I am also bilingual, fluent in Spanish. I am calm and patient, and have a love for working with students with unique needs.
I am calm, and extremely patient. I have the ability to determine if a student learns best by hearing, seeing or doing. I can adapt all subjects to best meet the learning styles of each individual student. Individualizing lessons is an area of strength for me. I am experienced in most subjects.
I am a special education teacher with 26 years experience in all levels from pre-K through high school. I am fluent in Spanish, and serve as a translator for my school district. I have certification in Irlen screening, a method which greatly helps people who are dyslexic. I have taught ESL to adults,and translated all core subject areas for students, including science. I have a lot of experience tutoring students of all levels in Spanish, and have taught Spanish classes for my church.
