My comments on tutoring Special Education : I am a special education teacher with 26 years of experience at every level from pre-K to high school. I have taught students with learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD,dyslexia, and severe and profound handicaps. I have a vast knowledge of approaches and techniques that work with special education students. I am also bilingual, fluent in Spanish. I am calm and patient, and have a love for working with students with unique needs.

I am a special education teacher with 26 years experience in all levels from pre-K through high school. I am fluent in Spanish, and serve as a translator for my school district. I have certification in Irlen screening, a method which greatly helps people who are dyslexic. I have taught ESL to adults,and translated all core subject areas for students, including science. I have a lot of experience tutoring students of all levels in Spanish, and have taught Spanish classes for my church. I am an inclusion high school teacher currently, and help all students in all subjects in their classrooms. I have 8.5 years teaching experience with an outstanding PDAS record. I have recently relocated to the area and would like to provide services to those who are in need. I have very high expectations for my student no matter where they are at. Patience is required in Special Education and it takes hard work to achieve the objectives that are being worked on. Sometimes results happen more quickly and sometimes it takes more time. However, success can be attained with hard work and a great attitude.
My teaching style is based on the student's need. Not everyone learns the same way. It is my goal to find out where the student is at and meet him or her at their level.

I love working with children and youth. I believe all students can learn, but each are individuals with different capabilities.
