Over the past twelve years I have taught a range of subjects including basic Math and English to students with a range of learning difficulties, including dyslexia, ADHD, and Autism. During the past two academic years I have tutored Math and Biology at a local private high school and have really enjoyed the experience. While in high school, I was a certified adult literacy tutor. Since I've had children, I have been an active volunteer in their classes - preschool through elementary school. I hold a BS from PSU in Finance with a minor in Economics. I earned my MBA while working full time in less than 2 years. In my last position, I was the training team lead for IT and policy for the Department of the Navy's financial card program. If a child feels as though they are in an atmosphere where they are safe, free of ridicule and bias, then they are willing to perform. This process can be a give take scenario however. With French as my mother's tongue and because I studied in French, I was very excited about the opportunity to serve the Foreign Langage Program initiated by the PTA at Montgomery County Public Schools in MD.
