Not every method works for every child; with one exception, patience. I demonstrate and exemplify patience. If a child feels as though they are in an atmosphere where they are safe, free of ridicule and bias, then they are willing to perform. This process can be a give take scenario however. So, some flexibility is required as well, but eventually the student will become more comfortable with themselves and confident in what they are capable of.

With French as my mother's tongue and because I studied in French, I was very excited about the opportunity to serve the Foreign Langage Program initiated by the PTA at Montgomery County Public Schools in MD. My goal is to to break the cycle of rote learning and show my students how a lesson can be applied to real-world knowledge. Understanding "why" helps students enjoy math or, at the very least, dislike it less. I believe Math is just like sports, music or dance: you need to practice to be proficient.
My degrees in Science, Computer Information Systems and Software Engineering required extensive mathematics preparation.
