I have a lot of good resources on powerpoint, online, lecture materials, etc. I also have experience teaching in an on-line environment, or virtual classroom. I have ways to make the complicated materials seem much easier to understand and I can explain how to summarize the important info from a tough concept.
Graduated from the UofA after completing the Veterinary Science degree and a minor in Chemistry. I went on to work with exotic animals for a few years and then started teaching Anatomy & Physiology in a for-profit college institution. I resumed teaching 1995 and earned an MAT in Elementary Education in 1998. I do not believe in hierarchy. I think the teacher-student or tutor-student relationship should be one of equal footing and mutual discovery. This means asking questions together and seeking out the fundamental answers to questions. I think all children and adults deserve a place to learn about themselves and the world around them where they are free to ask any question and challenge any assumption. This does not mean I am a push over and cannot create structure in a lesson.
