I have worked as a tutor for 10 years in all subjects, especially focusing on ESL learners. Recently, I have worked in an ESL school (FLS International) with university age students seeking to matriculate into American Universities. Before that, I worked in South Korea teaching English. While employed at these schools, I also work part-time as a tutor- mostly for middle and high school age students. Many of my students struggle with time management, and this is a main focus in my tutoring sessions.

I received my Ph.D. in Social Gerontology at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 2009. During my graduate training, and in the year following, I worked for Scripps Gerontology Center as a researcher. I completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in the Carolina Program for Health and Aging Research (CPHAR) at the Institute on Aging at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in August, 2012. I am currently working towards my BA in Humanities at San Jose State University. After I complete my BA I will enroll in a program to get my teaching credential in language arts. As a graduate, I've been very blessed to have received a degree in Business Communication. In college I learned how to become a better educator, and communicate with them on the highest level.
