Bachelor in Electrical Engineering - Cambridge University, England. MSEE - McGill University, Montreal, Canada. I have tutored students for the past 35 years from Grades 5 to 8 in math subjects. I have found that Algebra is a subject that most students have difficulty with and I have specialized in Algebra. I ONLY tutor in math, unlike others that tutor in any subject. I CAN help you. Most student difficulties come from a lack in understanding the basics in math. I try to find a starting point to build from there. Because of Covid-19 I now tutor ONLY on-line. My comments on tutoring Geometry : Successfully guided several students through online Geometry courses

I believe that all students can and will achieve academic success given appropriate instruction; i.e., instruction that is differentiated according to students' specific needs, learning styles, interests, and personal goals. A Little Bit About Me...

I am patient and treat kids with the same respect I am given. since I am young, I believe teaching kids will be easier because I can understand any troubles they may be having and the material is fresh in my head.

Let's get you an A!

I find it partucularly useful to take time to get to know the student's interests so that I can relate each subject to things that the student is familiar with. Making this connection between a difficult concept and the student's personal areas of interest helps the student feel comfortable with the subject and therefore more confident thinking through each question presented. Once confidence is established, it becomes easier for students to develop an understanding of the subject area that can be applied without the tutor present.
