Every individual has their own unique learning style. As a tutor, it's my responsibility to assess what works best for the inidividual I'm working with. I graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelor's degree in Special Education. I'm a certified special education teacher in the state Ohio and currently have a provisional LBS1 teaching license in Illinois. I have extensive experience working with children who have special learning needs. More specifically, I worked at a therapeutic day school for children diagnosed with autism from 2012 to 2014. I have a Bachelors in English from Dominican University. I began A Plus Master Tutoring Center over 4 years ago and was teaching in my home. Now we have expanded to a center in Oak Park and we tutor all ages, from Pre-K to adults. Our subjects range from phonics to algebra. Our teaching styles vary from a 3:1 ratio, which would include up to three students and one tutor, or a 1:1 ratio which would be a private session with a student and a tutor.
