I'm willing to teach Music Theory. I have many volunteer hours stacked up working with groups of children, but I would love to teach on a more personal basis to build my one-on-one skills. I'm currently an education major at Colorado State University, and while music is my emphasis, I was always very studious in school and am well-versed in other subjects. I have received numerous academic and artistic awards, some (such as being named a Texas Music Scholar) encompass both. For me, teaching isn't about pounding new material into their head, it's about helping them understand the material they're given and actually having fun learning. During the last three years of my undergraduate college career, I was a Mathematics tutor for student athletes. Although the courses covered while tutoring ranged from basic math to calculus, I am more comfotable tutoring algebra and geometry.
