Experience Summary
I earned a BA in Music from the University of California, Los Angeles where I also completed a post-graduate year required for a California life-time teaching credential. I am an experienced classroom teacher (3rd/4th LA City Schools and Casablanca, Morocco) as well as music specialist (LA City Schools) and piano teacher (California/Colorado). I also have solid work experience as an administrative assistant with Hewlett-Packard and later as an Information Technology II employee at Colorado State University. Additionally, I have recently obtained my TESL certification through Bridge LinguaTech.
Teaching Style
I am first and foremost a teacher/learning facilitator, and secondly a computer lover. As a teacher I am sequential in learning points, and creative in presentation. I am good at finding first the 'starting point' enabling the student to better relate to the lesson. I can usually discover a reason for 'why learn this' for the unmotivated student. As a lover of the computer I join with the student in finding the milieu of available internet resources pertinent to our goals.
