I recently retired from teaching but have a love of math and working with students. Presently that makes accessible to tutor students any time day or night. I always enjoy my days in the school and teaching. I feel that I am good at teaching. It is what I spent my first 2 years of college studying before switching to engineering. I make sure the kids feel safe in their environment, so learning becomes the primary focus. I try to make learning fun and try to show the students that it isn't really that difficult. I have educated both college and middle school students, and through these experiences I learned that the key to effectively teaching others is patience. I guide my students but do not do the work for them. Most students have the ability to learn the material being instructed to them. By being patient, I give the students the opportunity to problem solve on their own, which ultimately builds confidence. With more confidence, students seem to learn better.
