I recently retired from teaching but have a love of math and working with students. Presently that makes accessible to tutor students any time day or night. I have enough math credits to be a high school math teacher, although I am not an accredited teacher. I am a consulting engineer, but have always enjoyed teaching. I have been substitute teaching for mostly high school math the last 3 years. I have been in the engineering field since 1989. I always enjoy my days in the school and teaching. I have educated both college and middle school students, and through these experiences I learned that the key to effectively teaching others is patience. I guide my students but do not do the work for them. Most students have the ability to learn the material being instructed to them. By being patient, I give the students the opportunity to problem solve on their own, which ultimately builds confidence. With more confidence, students seem to learn better.
