Experience Summary
I have 34 years of middle school and high school math teaching experience of which the last 24 have been at LHS in Laurel, MT.
The last few years I have been the Head of the Math Department during which time I was instrumental in getting a math lab started at our high school. I have taught math subjects ranging from General Math to Algebra II. Most of the classes I taught were geometry and algebra. In math lab I assisted students in a variety of math classes ranging from general math to pre-calculus daily. Since the instution of the math lab, LHS has seen noticeable increases in their math scores every year.
Teaching Style
I recently retired from teaching but have a love of math and working with students. Presently that makes accessible to tutor students any time day or night. I believe that my patience is my biggest strength in working with students having difficulties in math. My experiences over the years has taught me that not every student learns the same way so that same material must be presented in variety of ways until the student gets it. It is my goal to provide a positive learning experience to all students I work with.
