This is my eighth year of teaching. I have taught grades K-5 special education in the subjects of reading,writing and math. I currently teach a modified curriculum level one class in Immokalee. This is my second year of teaching in the state of Florida. Last year I taught in an Inclusion setting in the grades of K and 1. In the state of NC I uses the Wilson Reading Program to teach phonics. I prefer to work with K-2 children. I use all modalities when I teach. I enjoy learning about my students likes and dislikes in order to make teaching appealing to them.

From 2001-2008 during spring break I led volunteer groups at a camp for children with special needs who needed ventilator assistance. In 2010 and 2011 I led volunteer groups to Indianapolis to volunteer at a living center for people with disabilities.
