My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : Phonics deals with pronounciation and word combinations! This skill must be practiced daily!

I taught English for a few years and really enjoyed teaching the students about the world of writing. I specialized in the four types of writing: Narrative, Descriptive, Expository, and Persuasive. I also strongly believe in developing strong grammar skills because they comprise well written wrting pieces. Once a student feels confident in his/her writing and speaking skills, the sky becomes the limit.

I have graduated from two technical courses in the air force and was a distinguished graduate from both. I graduated with honors from the Air Traffic Control Operators Course in 1983 with a 97% average. I was selected for instructor duty in 1986 and received extensive training on various instructing and teaching modalities along with counseling techniques. I enjoyed teaching so much that I went back to that profession, once again teaching for the air force from 2001-2003.
