As a high school student, I taught music and math to middle school kids for approximately two years. The music they learned was performed in a competitive circuit in which they placed. As an undergraduate, I served as a study proctor in my sorority from 2007-2009 tutoring in the subjects of math, science, and writing. I believe tutoring is not only to raise children's grades, but also to make sure they understand the material so it can be applied to other principles in their future education. I believe not every student can be tutored the same way, and I have confidence that I can mold material in a way that each student can understand.

I can teach children of all ages. I believe it is easiest to build rapport with the student before teaching them. If there is a good relationship between the student and teacher then it is easier to teach and learn. I use different styles of teaching that address all types of learners. I will incorporate visual aids, music, hand movements and other techniques to enhance the students retention of information. I have patience and like to use positive feedback to motivate my students. I have tutored high school students at San Gorgonio High School in a variety of subjects for 6 months. In addition, I worked as an independent English tutor in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 6 months.
