I taught and tutored students at a Learning Center in Fort Collins for several years. The math curriculum covered basic, intermediate, and advanced math. I also taught study skill subjects. I've helped high school and college students with homework support in physics, chemistry, and advanced high school math. I have also substituted in math and science classes within the Loveland school district.
My teaching style is pretty much dictated by the student and their preferred learning style or combination of styles. For example: a student may just lack confidence, some need help with basic subject skills, or may have a difficult time conceptualizing processes or procedures particularly in math and science.

A Little Bit About Me...

My degrees have taken me places that I never thought they would. I was excited to teach English in a school in Costa Rica for one year. There I was able to learn Spanish quickly as well as help elementary school children learn English. I taught grammar as well as science. I also tutored on the side in all subjects. Previous to this experience I tutored a fourth grader in geography, history, and spelling. In college I used many skills that helped me to prepare for teaching. As a recent CSU-Pueblo graduate with a mathematics major and a double minor in both physics and economics, I feel I have plenty of education for this position.
