A Little Bit About Me...

Learning is like a puzzle or a code, and I enjoy the reaction of students when they finally solve the puzzle, or decipher the code. I try to show the student the practical application of the subject, and then make them enjoy their time learning. I love seeing the joy of the "Aha!" moment. I hope to establish enough of a relationship with my students to be able to identify what methods will work best. A Little Bit About Me...

So far, I have gained insight into the inquisitive and intellectual critique of humanity in studying anthropology at the undergraduate level. My studies opened me to living as well as working abroad, excavating archaeological sites in Chile to teaching PE and history in Honduras. I tutored students ages 7-53 in subjects such as English as a second language, history, cultural anthropology, and Spanish. Teaching in Honduras culminated my tutoring experiences in a formalized, calendar based lesson planning.
