I am a patient and laid back type of tutor. I like to make students feel comfortable around me and realize that I have a genuine concern for their academic achievements. I am a graduate from Georgia College & State University with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. As a chemistry graduate, I am very familiar with the subject. After several changes in intended career direction and four years of general education with an pre-engineering emphasis, I have earned my associates degree and transfered to the University of Oregon as a pre-math major. I expect to have my bachelor's degree in two years and am doing so with tutoring as an occupation in mind. Learning is like a puzzle or a code, and I enjoy the reaction of students when they finally solve the puzzle, or decipher the code. I try to show the student the practical application of the subject, and then make them enjoy their time learning. I love seeing the joy of the "Aha!" moment. My studies opened me to living as well as working abroad, excavating archaeological sites in Chile to teaching PE and history in Honduras.
