Because all student learn at different levels I believe in order to be a good Math tutor you must show patients with the students you are working with. With my background in math I feel very comfortable working with kids of all skill levels and helping them reach there full potential. I believe that if a student doesn't understand what is being taught, part of the fault lies in the way the information is being presented. Most standard classroom settings do not provide the type of learning environment many students need, and I believe this is the root cause of their struggle with the subject matter, not the subject matter itself and certainly not the student. I love teaching to students who wish to learn. When the student's drive is there, we find ways to overcome difficult concepts. I enjoy teaching children of all ages, particularly on a one-to-one basis. In addition, I learn from the children. I believe a child learns best through individual attention and the opportunity to have those "aha" moments. People of all ages can meet and exceed their potential.
