I would not have a problem with Online classes. But if the student would want to meet and work together I would be more than happy to study at a cafe. Usually I’ll first ask what the child himself knows about the topic and then i would work to getting in cleared in her or his mind. I’ll have a lot of questions ready for the child to solve and practice. The student will also have regular tests if the parent wants them to continue learning with me.

After graduating, I worked in two different school systems as a remedial teacher. I even designed a new remedial reading and spelling program for the one school. I graduated from Ball State University with a major in Elementary Education. I love working with the younger students in a classroom setting but realized I missed working with older students. I started tutoring at Sylvan at the high school level in math. After a year I became the Assistant Director of Education and comtinued to tutor in the evenings. This allowed me to create programs specific to each student. I tutored all subjects but enjoy working with high school algebra and geometry students the most.
I love tutoring because it gives me the ablility to individualize each students program so it fits their learning style. If a students doesn't understand a concept when I explain it, I use other ways (other explanations and manipulatives) to help the student understand. I am patient and understand each student is unique and their program should be unique to them.
