I teach to whole group but my favorite is small group or individualized to assist students needs I have taught for 29 years in the areas of Reading and Language Arts in grades 6th-7th- & 8th from 1985-2015 (currently). I have received much training in areas relating to Reading Approaches, Learning Styles, Vocabulay Strategies and Test Taking Skills. I have been teaching since I was young. I have tutored students since the age of 14 and I have taught students from ages 3 to 18 years old. I have been teaching in the Texas public school system for the last 4 years and I have loved every minute of it! I have taught all grades from Kindergarten to 5th as a special education inclusion teacher. As an inclusion teachers I have been able to teach grade level content to students who understand it but need for it to be taught in a different way. While in New York State, I was employed through the Alternative Suspension Program as an LVN. While there,I assisted with the teaching of students. This in turn gave me the opportunity to obtain my certification in Teaching. I remained in this position for two years. During this time, I had my own case load of 5-8 students grade 7-12. Following this position, I was employed at a tutor for those youth who were home bound. I attended college later in life. Recently, the opportunity arose to better myself. I chose Early Childhood Education and then continued on to obtain my Bachelor's Degree. Following this, I returned to school for Nursing.
