Experience Summary
Upon graduting from college, I became an after-school tutor, grades 4-6, focusing on all levels of homework and emphasis on students who had particular needs. I entered the teaching field in 2005 as a high school English teacher in grades 9 and 12. I learned extensive outlets and skills in regards to test preparation, research, grammar, and real-world applications. My second and third year teaching was in an academy setting focusing on law. I taught grades 9, 10 and 12. There I was able to learn legal gargin, community involvement with our students and their education, and law papers. Over the last few years I have tutored in research writing, TAKS preparation, math of all levels, writing and other subjects.
Teaching Style
Having been a teacher, I understand all teachers teach differently, much like a student learns in a variety of ways. My approach is to bridge the gap that lies between the two--working with the teacher to receive a better performance from the student. I have a passion for seeing a child excel in education because it means they will continue on to become a prodictive member of society.
